- Universal Studios with the cousins
- Knotts Berry Farm with bffs
- Raging Waters!?
- IMATS LA (may not go/same day as switchfoot concert)
- Del Mar Fair!
- Science Museum
- Go to a Padres Game, for the heck of it
- Switchfoot Bro-Am (June 26,2010) FREE CONCERT!
- Beach/BBQs/Bonfires
- LA/Hollywood
- Go to Carlsbad for strawberry picking w/ hubbs
- Miramar Speed Circuit x 1344 to up my speed

Goals:
- BUY A BIKE, and ride the shit out of it everywhere!
- Buy a flipcam to record my memories
- Build my makeup kit/start more freelance work

Earthquaaaake!

So when most of us hear or think of Earthquakes, we automatically think of hiding under a doorframe or better yet stay outside of any tall buildings. As a first for me, living in San Diego, the earthquake I experienced today was probably the worst I would ever want to feel.

Normally, I would panic and overreact, but it was different because it was Easter and I spent the day with my Family. With my grandma's 80th birthday coming up, we all gathered at her house and without my grandma knowing, we were all outside (aunts and uncles included.. dogs too!) recording a birthday greeting for her when the 6.9 magnitude quake hit! It wasn't what you would expect, maybe because we were outside. But I thought my bigger cousin in the SUV we were next to was rocking it which is why we felt it but we all paused and looked at eachother and just asked "is there an earthquake happening?" And of course.. there was. I saw my cousins in front of me swaying like we were on the ocean. First instinct was to check facebook updates and people from LA even felt it!

To be honest, I thought it was a trip, I felt more sea-sick if anything just because the cars in the front and the ground itself was just rocking back and forth. It was kind of cool, but yet so much was going on through my mind like if anything were to happen at my house with my dogs there, if my bf is alright, if their family is alright, if my grandma is alright! I was just hoping no one got hurt. Luckily, everyone was safe and my grandma was just chillin as if nothing happened! Haha.

But I'm sure it would've been a different experience if I were indoors or something because I went to work later and everyone was telling me how terrified they were. Just goes to show you that this shit happens, especially when you least expect it! I mean come on, it's Easter. It's a good day and that's all that mattered until the earthquake hit.

Sadly as the Earthquake traveled it's way to Mexi-Cali it's magnitude heightened to a 7.2 and by the end of the day 2 people died and hundreds were injured due to this natural disaster. It's insane how all this happened in just less than a minute!

Lovin my life right now!

I feel incredibly blessed to have the people I love around me and to know that in a month, my grandma will by 80 years old! And, on top of that all, school is going well AND these amazing opportunities have come up for me to do makeup and actually be looked as a freelance MUA.

I am so excited :) I can't wait!

Today marks the beginning of Spring Break, even though I don't think it really counts since I have a midterm Saturday morning -___-

So here is my schedule for my exciting adventures:
3/25 (tonight) - Makeup on set for the 30s flashback scene
3/26 (big night!) - Makeup on set for the 70s with 22+ girls!
3/27 - Geology midterm
3/29 - San Diego Zoo with the bf :)
3/30-3/31 - Hang out with the girlss (finally!)
4/7 - My parent's 20th Anniversary
4/14 - My Nanay's 80th bday!
4/17 - My Nanay's HUGE 80th bday celebration!
5/15 - My Kuya Nolan and Ate Shellie's WEDDING! :D

Agh, I am so happy that I'm not loaded with so much stress and I'm so glad I'm finally be taken seriously about things I WANT to do.

Torn between two loves

So the Hellz collection just dropped and will be hitting retailers soon and I CANNOT F*KING wait!

BUT! The MAC Give Me Liberty of London collection releases this Thursday. I know I want tons of shit from MAC, and at the same time I have to save money for my Hellz addiction!

I know in the end, I'll end up splurging in one aside from the other, but right now it has me twisted because I REALLY want to see both collections in person and see what I love and lust.

Knowing me, I'll be lusting over everything! The Hellz Spring 10 campaign has got me drooling all over the place, and the MAC collection has me hypnotized.

Cannot decide! :(

Now I bet you know ;) Yeah FINALLY received the package after preordering these babies in December! BUT WHAT, they're not in the box!?

Daaaaamn straight, b'coz the second I opened that box I took em and put these babies on my feet where they belong! LOL yeah lame I know, but my boyfriend came up with the idea :P

:) SO excited I got these shoes finally, and I'm extremely excited for the next Hellz collab about to drop soon...

Ashley Sade inspired Nails

If you don't know already, Ashley Sade is on TOP of her nail game and I admire her work as seen through her blog posts and her portfolio. I swear, she has so much patience because she does all of this herself and the detail work is on point!I'm usually a one color all over the nails typa girl when I'm lazy, or a french tip, but I never get creative enough to come up with my own designs because I think what I come up with turns out ugly. While looking through some of her work, I saw one that would be simple enough for me to do. A cheetah print! Or what she posted as "hoodfab cheetah" with the rhinestone looking things and whatnot. I thought they were gorgeous and it only took my an hour and half to do because I kept messing up :P

So here is her creation:&here's mine:Of course it's not as good as hers, but I definitely tried my best! I used different colors: gold and red and rhinestone things on every other finger while I just coated the rest with glitter because I got lazy haha!Excuse thy white-ness, my flash doesn't seem to pick up my color? Heh.

Thank you Ashley for (1) giving me an inspiration to do my nails and (2) for your amazing nail artwork I also gained inspiration from! I really do wish I could get my nails done by her one day! Hopefully soon (watch out Bay Area I'm comin for ya) because that would be awesome rockin some ASade nails nawmsayin!?

Valentine's Day

is only a month away! &I'm extremely excited because this year my boyfriend and I are going with my cousin and her boyfriend to Sammy's Woodfire Pizza, and Chocolat after for dessert. Nothing to fancy schmancy because we're saving that for our 3 years (!) on the 27th :) Yay!

So speaking of the occasion, Valentine's Day we always make our gifts to each other and try to get creative... our first valentine's he made a card and attatched it to chocolates and a balloon. It doesn't sound like much, but when he does make something by himself for me it means a lot. Then our second he made a pillow(lol you can kinda see it in the picture)! Haha so adorable and thoughtful... so we'll see how this year plays out. I've mostly just made treats and books of somesort for such an occasion. So this year I feel like getting REALLY creative!

I went to Target yesterday and in the $1 section, they had a shit ton of valentine's scrapbooking stuff, stickers, candies, toys, and I nearly went insane! I love scrapbooking stuff, even though I really have no use for it so I was glad I got these packets of papers for only a dollar! I've spent less than $10 on all the things I've got &sprout ideas from. So from all the inspiration, I'm sure I'll think of something.I'm thinking the mini scrapbook I can use for sure and just have fun with it and go crazy with pictures and hearts and shit! Haha then the mailbox decorate and use it for another occasion. Hmm because I have no clue if I should save the mailbox for a different occasion, his birthday or our anni? Because I wanted to put his actual present in there (if it fits) haha.

Any thoughts/ideas of what I can do?

Panera Bread

I can't believe I haven't been there since so many have popped up in San Diego recently. There's 3 that I know of and I went to the one closest to my work with a friend of mine earlier today. I got the Salmon Club Croissant which from the menu is "Chilled salmon filet, Applewood-smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato and our zesty tomato aioli served on a freshly baked croissant" but without the tomatoes because I've never been a fan of the slimy texture. And it also came with a bag of chips! Overall, I enjoyed the experience... the food was delicious, the environment was very welcoming and the food was great for the price (esp. since I took my friend out and ended up paying) and I would definitely go again to try out more of the menu... I really want to try their soups in the bread bowl and salads because they sound just delectable!

I feel bad though, because since it was so quiet and everyone was just enjoying their meal, my friend and I were probably the loudest people and got the employees looking at us every couple of minutes because what we were talking about. HAH.

I also got a dessert to go which is the Macadamia Nut Blondie... the name sounded to good to resist because I'm such a sucker for anything with Macadamia! Haha.

Also, they had fresh pastries and bread for sale... like an actual loaf you can purchase and cut yourself! I thought that was so old fashioned and reminded me of those movies during the 20s (or Idk what decade) when they'd pop loaves of bread in the oven and serve it straight to the dinner table. YUM!

It's funny, because I usually have one favorite item from a restaurant I ALWAYS have to get, but from this place it seems like I'll like a lot of things which I like because I enjoy variety in my life ;) With that, I am extremely excited to go back and try more food and maybe their smoothies because they sound delish too! (PS. Why are drinks always more expensive than the damn meal!?)

Makeup Photoshoot: Behind the scenes!

Today, I got off work a little bit early and my friend, Sam was awfully kind enough to have me over to test out his new lighting with our friend Carly as the model. Overall, I'd say it was a success, I wasn't unsatisfied or 100% pleased with the outcome but as a test shoot and more of an experimenting kind of thing, it was lots of fun!

I love doing makeup, and it's something I'd love to pursue in the future. This is me just taking it one step at a time :)

Feelin 'Em: Tights

My latest obsession has to be tights! Patterned, colored, opaque, sheer, fishnet, anything.. you name it, I loove it! I've recently gone to the forever 21 nearby and debated on whether or not to get all the tights, not even kidding, their selection is insane. I nearly died when I saw forest green ribbed tights! LOVE those. And with the bright blues, pinks, and reds, I couldn't resist! There are even some with metallic sewn into them so it brings a sheen to the tights, which are awesome. The holey ones however didn't strike me as a win as I think they just would look really ugly on my legs. But other than that, the fishnet, the mesh patterns, and such were awesome!

I just love how tights are so flattering when paired with a dress, shorts, or even a loose top. I think it can be dressed up or down in so many different ways, I have so many ideas on how to wear them, I don't think there's too many days during this season when I can wear them all! But yess, layering with these babies are awesome! And I can't wait to get my hands on some more x)

Hellz Bellz Holiday 2009 is HOT!

As always, Hellz Bellz is killin it with every collection! And it seems like every month Miss Lawn is releasing these collections like hot cakes! Regardless, loving everything, as always :)

I'm really feelin it! It embodies the Holidays without the cheery santa hats and snowflakes, but rather the color elements of beautiful hints of grey and red and of course the Hellz Bellz edge. I especially love how the makeup is simple, clean and how it's so stunning and classic without the glamour stereotype of red lips for the Holidays. Hellz really done it up with this collection though, killin every aspect! Just taking a look at it, and not even in person yet, is making me drool!

Hellz Bellz Holiday 2009... WHERE YOU AT!?

With much anticipation, and the continuous teasing on the Hellz blog, I want to thank you hearty magazine for these AMAZING Hellz Bellz Holiday 2009 sneak peaks! I nearly DIED when I saw this. A plaid vest x perforated leather!? HELLZ YES! SO SO excited! xD

And aside from that, finally got the lowdown on the Hellz Bellz x Miss Wax release!

It's dated to release on November 21, a Saturday! And I'm so bummed because I get payed the week before that and I'd have to hella save for that, a whole weeks worth of food almost!

And anyway, from Miss Wax herself, the double fingered JAWDROPPIN ring is priced for $110, and the pair of DOPE ass bottle breaking earrings are priced for $55. Uh, YEAH. It'll be worth it!!! Lemme just stand round the corner a bit get some extra cash flow going so maybe I can buy 2 of each! HAH, naah.

BUT YAY! So excited for both of the releases... now all I need is a date on that Holiday release and I'm set!

My heart skips a beat

every time I hear Justin Nozuka's music.

For one, he's a major HOTTIE, and secondly his music has so much passion, and inspiration, I swear I come up with movie scenes for each of his songs. He's none of that one hit wonders type of guys, oh no.. His music is purely soulful.

I remember hearing one of his well known songs "After Tonight" from one of my friends and I instantly fell in love with his voice and music.

With that same friend, I felt bad because he had a concert in Pomona that I said we should go to but never did. Sadly, our friendship ended and I haven't talked much to her since. But I do thank her for introducing me to Justin Nozuka's music.

Literally, EVERY time one of his songs come up on my iTunes, I cannot even concentrate on what I'm doing because I'm so mesmerized... like right now! I'm taking frequent pauses just thinking about him serenading me. LOL.

Lucky enough though, he's coming! HERE. TO. SAN. DIEGO!!! OMFG. When I saw the news, my heart jumped out of my chest and I could not breathe because of my excitement! So I saved the date November 24th! And I've already made arrangements bought tickets, the whole deal baby!!

If you haven't heard his music yet, please do! And better yet, if you're around San Diego see him live November 24th for $15 a ticket! SUCH A STEAL for this breathtaking (both physical and singing wise) hunk!
